Returns Policy
Returns of orders are allowed followng the guidelines below. Please contact us with any questions.
Individual Orders Placed on our Website
We will accept returns for print books placed on our website for 30 days after the invoice date on the order.
Books must be either in the original shrinkwrap or in new condition. Books that have been damaged, written in, etc., will not be accepted for return.
No refunds will be issued for shipping charges. You are responsible for shipping items back to CAP.
Looseleaf items must be returned in the original shrinkwrap. No credit will be issued for opened looseleafs.
Books that include an Access Code card (e.g. Core Knowledge for Lawyers titles) are not returnable if opened.
Books purchased as part of a specially priced bundle may not be returned individually--the entire bundle must be returned.
Credits for valid returns are usually issued within one to two weeks of receipt.
If the address submitted with the order is incorrect and the delivery is delayed or rejected, CAP may charge an extra rerouting or shipping fee to process a replacement order.
Ebook Orders
Ebooks and other electronic products purchased from Carolina Academic Press may be returned and refunded within seven (7) days of purchase. CAP reserves the right to refuse a return request if there is evidence of improper usage of electronic materials.

Bookstores and Vendors
Payment Terms: Usually we require prepayment to establish a new account; however, we will be happy to forego this procedure if you can send your list of references. Afterwards, we will bill net 30 days.
Returns Policy: Returns may be made without permission as follows: if in clean, salable condition and within 6 months of invoice date (permission to keep longer may be granted); within 3 months for books superseded by new editions; within 60 days for supplements. All returns must be shrink wrapped and must include either a copy of the invoice or the invoice number(s), dates, prices, and discount. If the return does not meet the above requirements, credit may be refused or a processing fee may be charged. Credits may be used against future purchases if your remittance cites our credit memo number. We must be notified of damaged books or shipping errors within 7 days of receipt. Damaged books must be in their original packaging for claims to be made or credit given. No refunds will be issued for shipping charges. No cash refunds.

No credit will be issued for any bookstore returns sent to 700 Kent St.
